Gender Pay Gap

RSPCA Victoria fully supports the Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s (WGEA) vision for women and men to be equally represented, valued, and rewarded in the workplace and we’re proud of the strides we’ve taken towards this vision.

We’re proud our organisation has such a high female representation, and we note the relevant impact this has on the interpretation of our gender pay gap (GPG) data.

As part of our employee value proposition and Diversity, Equality and Inclusion initiatives we have strong positions on flexible workplace policies, as well as family friendly policies encouraging equal participation, especially around parental leave and encouraging men to take their entitlements.

We are on a continuous journey to narrow the Gender Pay Gap, setting ourselves challenging but achievable goals. We will ensure equal opportunity for promotions by conducting unconscious bias training for all managers, while also implementing leadership training to ensure leaders create a space of psychological safety, empowering all staff to have positive development conversations and advocate more confidently for themselves.

Promoting gender equality in the workplace is strongly aligned to our values at RSPCA Victoria and we will continue to strive to be a great place to work for all people.
