Holiday programs


It’s almost time for school holidays! And we’re offering more live, online content than ever before.

We’re inviting families to our working barn for virtual Zoom encounters with our friendly farm animals and playful pets. Think horses, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs!
And you won’t just be watching. Participants will be able to engage with our animal experts in real-time by asking questions via the Zoom chat feature.

Book in to enjoy DAILY offerings of LIVE animal fun.  These entertaining 30-40 minute classes will provide your child with lots of fun content to keep them busy during the break. Plus, they’ll have the opportunity to Show and Tell with us on the final day of the holidays.

Our animals can’t wait to greet your family each day. 

When:  Monday 21st September – Friday October 2nd, 10:30 AM Daily (excluding weekends)

Where:  Our virtual barn experiences come to you LIVE via Zoom

How:  BOOK NOW and you will be sent one Zoom invite per session. These invitations will automatically arrive in your inbox on Sunday 20th September and Sunday 27th September (the day before the first day of each week).

Cost: $35 per week (0r $60 for two weeks)

*Please download Zoom prior to the first session (21/9/2020) to participate in our Virtual Holiday Program

*Participants will need to have access to an internet connected audio/visual device such as an iPad, computer or smart phone.

ACTIVITY

Welcome to the RSPCA Vic LIVE School Holiday Program. Enjoy a tour of the barn and meet your hosts.
Ask questions and meet some of the very special animals that live there.

Tuesday is Pony Day – that means you will be introduced to our beautiful horses, some of whom have been with RSPCA for decades! Find out all about their special care routines.

Have you ever seen a Guinea Pig up-close? Today’s activity means you will get to see LOTS of them! You’ll also meet the sweet little bunnies in our care and learn about caring for small animals.

 

Thursday is all about cats! The Education cats play a big role in helping students learn about keeping cats happy and wildlife safe. Say hello to Alfie, Wanda and Archie and hear their rescue stories

Friday is your chance to share your pets with us! Bring along a photo of your animals, drawings you have done, completed activities we have sent to you or anything else animal-themed you would like to share! Keep a look out for an animal visitor who will join us too.

ACTIVITY

Welcome new RSPCA Holiday Program participants! Meet the sheep and goats who live at the RSPCA. Learn to make some enrichment treat boxes that will keep animals happy and entertained.

Meet the Education Dogs! These pups have the important task of helping teach students about responsible pet ownership and proper animal care. Say hello to Charlie, Chino, Ava and Scout!

At RSPCA Victoria we care for all animals - the fur and the feathers. So that’s why Wednesday is all about chickens! Did you know that chickens are very intelligent, and need activities, enrichment and vet care like many other animals?

April and Audrey are two very special ladies who happen to be cows! These gentle giants love meeting new people They can’t wait to see you on Thursday for their favourite morning tea snack. Can you guess what it is?

It’s Show and Tell Time again.
