Parvo can be Anywhere
Dog faeces are the most common source of parvo. However, it can also be transmitted by contaminated footwear, clothing, bedding, feeding bowls and toys.
Parvovirus is tough
Parvo can survive for up to a year after it’s appearance, so it’s crucial that your dog’s vaccinations are up to date to protect them.
Parvo is dangerous
Parvovirus attacks the gastrointestinal tract and destroys white blood cells. Common symptoms include:
- Vomiting
- Profuse and bloody diarrhoea
- Appetite loss
- Lethargy
- Weakness
- Fever
Some dogs don’t display symptoms, so getting them vaccinated is the only way to keep them safe.
Parvo is preventable
