Zedstar, 10 year old who was euthanased >24 hours post-race after sustaining an injury that caused lameness (Pakenham, 13 April).

From New Zealand, began racing in Victoria in 2018. Ran his first hurdle trail in 2021, followed by his first race in the same year. Occasionally competing in flats races but now majority hurdle and steeple races. Started placing poorly in races in 2022, and this continued until his injury and subsequent euthanasia in 2025.

Treasured Crown, 9 year old who sustained a serious injury to his hind leg after jumping a steeple and was euthanased (Sandown, 1 June).

Started racing flats races in 2019, started jumps trialling in 2022 and 2023 but didn’t race in jumps races until 2024. Only competed in 6 hurdle races and the race he was injured and euthanased in was his first steeple race.

Tapa Capall, 6 year old, sustained a serious racing injury and was euthanased (Ballarat, 17 August).

Began racing in 2022 at 2 years old. First jumps trial in June 2025, and only competed in two hurdle races, the second was his last.

Maatsuyker, 7 year old, sustained a tendon injury during a hurdle trial and was euthanased (Warrnambool, 20 March).

Began racing in 2021 at 2 years old. First hurdle trial in 2024, exclusively ran hurdle races throughout 2024 until his injury and euthanasia in early 2025.

Wilewink, 9 year old, fell during a steeple trial and was found to be lame, a subsequent veterinary certificate advised he also had a neurological injury and he was euthanased in the weeks following the trial (Warrnambool, 20 March).

Gunaluva, 8 year old ran his last hurdle race and was issued a ‘Not to Race’ veterinary certificate due to a tendon injury sustained during the race. No further information available. Marked deceased.

Emerging, 6 year old, ran two hurdle trials in 2024 but he otherwise ran in flats races. His last race was a flats race held in August. No further information is available. Marked deceased.

Frankenstar, 9 year old, horse form was marked deceased during 2025. Last race was a hurdle race, 7 July 2024.

Jekyll’n’Hyde, 9 year old, started running hurdle races in 2023, and continued to run a combination of flats and jumps races with his first steeple race in 2025. Ran one more flats race, then horse form changed Emerging, 6 year old, ran two hurdle trials in 2024 but he otherwise ran in flats races. His last race was a flats race held in August. No further information is available. Marked deceased.

No Matter What, 7 year old, horse farm was  marked deceased in 2025. Only competed in jumps races in 2024. Last race was a flats race in 2025.
