A way forward to support students of low
socio-economic backgrounds to follow pathways
in animal welfare through Education and Learning.
Through the generosity of one of our supporters, RSPCA Education is able to offer the Stephen & Lyne Sedgman Scholarship to disadvantaged young people to enhance and deepen the animal welfare experience, exploring the idea of a career with animals.
This program offers two scholarships:
School Scholarships
Schools experiencing socio-economic challenges are invited to apply for scholarships assisting them with transport costs to RSPCA Burwood East or subsidising program fees for small groups.
As part of the application, schools are asked to contribute stories, photos or other feedback to the sponsors of the scholarship.
Junior Holiday Programs and Youth Holiday Programs
The student or teacher must provide evidence of disadvantage (either a copy of a current Health Care Card, or written explanation of disadvantage). Students will be asked to nominate their preferred Holiday Program for attendance, and asked to commit to completing a feedback process.
