Homesafe ID Microchip UPDATE
Earlier this year Homesafe ID microchip registry ceased operation and is no longer a recognised/licensed national microchip registry.
All Victorian records for cats, dogs and horses from HomeSafeID were transferred to Central Animal Records.
Affected Victorian owners should have been contacted by Central Animal Records with further information, including details on how to update your records.
How do I know if my pet is listed on Homesafe ID?
If you are unsure if your pet’s microchip was registered with HomeSafeID, you can visit petaddress.com.au, enter the microchip number and it will let you know which database it’s registered to.
If your pet was listed with Homesafe ID, or does not appear on any national database, immediate action is required.
What do I need to do now?
If your pet is not listed on any national database, you need to list your pet on Central Animal Records. You can do this by creating an account and following the prompts – all you need is your pet’s microchip number.
If you are unable to do this online please contact Central Animal Records for assistance.
