Hi there, my name is Bear and if you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an expression of interest form and a RSPCA staff member will contact you as soon as possible.
Just like a fine wine, I get better with age. I'm looking for somewhere nice and quiet to spend my twilight years. As my name suggests I am a very sweet, cuddly boy – just don’t get between me and my food! I was quite underweight when I arrived at the RSPCA so I get REALLY excited at feed time and sometimes forget my manners, oops!
When I came into the RSPCA I was looking a bit worse for wear. The staff here gave me lots of TLC and now I'm feeling great! My poor condition on arrival at the shelter was largely due to the fact that I am a chronic windsucker and this wasn't being properly managed. I've been fitted with a special collar and after a few months on a weight gain diet I am looking and feeling much better.
Due to my windsucking and previous lack of dental care my teeth have suffered so I need to have regular dental check ups by a vet dentist.
I have an old hip injury therefore I can't be a ridden horse, but I make a fantastic companion horse! I am easy to catch, worm, vaccinate, have my feet done and I'm currently rugged. I am looking for someone with a big heart to welcome me into their home, where I can have one or two horsey companions and just spend the rest of my days being comfortable, happy and healthy as I so deserve.
I am desexed.
