Want to improve your animal skills? Looking for quality teaching? Do you want real skills and training?


RSPCA short courses are designed to develop new skills for people dealing with animals; providing valuable access to industry experts and utilising quality resources and trainers. Programs are tailored for those wanting to enter the animal industry or already working within this field, as well as allowing participants to increase their skills with their own pets.

Caring for Animals 


We offer four fun, practical and informative one-day sessions:

Caring for Cats - BOOK HERE
- Caring for Dogs - BOOK HERE
Understanding Dog Behaviour - BOOK HERE
- Caring for Horses- BOOK HERE

Throughout the day you will learn the basics of caring for the animal of your choice, so it’s pawwfect for pet owners, as well as those who are thinking about a career working with animals.

Hands on experience is essential to understanding our furry friends, so you will have the chance to meet and learn with our ‘Pawfessors’, while being taught by our teachers and industry experts.

$225 per session

'Understanding Dog Behaviour' - Wednesday 10th January, 9am-4pm
'Caring for Cats' - Thursday 11th January, 9am-4pm
'Caring for Horses' - Saturday 17th March, 9am-4pm

Pet First Aid

Where: RSPCA Burwood East Education Centre
  
Cost: $80  
Date:Thursday 9 November 2017, 6pm-9pm
Thursday 11th January 2018, 6pm - 9pm
  

In this course you will learn how to:
  • Observe and measure vital signs of life in your pet
  • Bandage a bleeding wound
  • Perform CPR on an animal
  • Maintain safety while working with an injured pet

The course will have both theory and practical elements.

Tea and coffee provided.
