Train your dog or puppy with the experts

We have a range of group training classes, from puppies through to adult dogs, to enhance your pet's training, build a stronger bond between the two of you, and help resolve any issues.

Post-adoption Training

Dogs aged 6 months and over

Have you recently adopted from the RSPCA or another animal welfare organisation?  Start off on the right paw with our training course especially designed for adopted animals. This training is a unique opportunity to gain ongoing support from a trainer in a 6 week course, plus discuss how your pet is settling in.

During the classes, you and your dog will discover how dogs learn, basic dog body language and how to adjust to your new life together. The training course will also include improving behaviours and basic manners, such as sit and drop.

1 hour per week, for 6 consecutive weeks.
$150or $99 if booked within 2 weeks of adopting from the RSPCA.
Class size:  5 dogs.

Puppy Pre-school

Puppies aged 8-12 weeks

Do you want to give your puppy the best start in life?
Puppy Pre-school teaches your puppy basic training, good manners and the importance of socialisation. You’ll also learn about toilet training, health care and grooming. The younger your puppy is when enrolled in Puppy Pre-school, the earlier the learning can begin.

1 hour per week, for 6 consecutive weeks.
$150 or $120 if booked within 2 weeks of adopting from the RSPCA.
 Class size: 4 puppies.

Junior Manners

Dogs aged 3-6 months

This course is perfect for teenage puppies needing to continue learning basic manners. Junior Manners is suited to Puppy Pre-school graduates, as well as those who didn’t undertake this training but are aged 3-6 months!

You will learn how to build a good relationship with your pet and your puppy will learn good manners, including how to walk well on lead. Grooming and coming when called will also be explored.

Duration: 1 hour per week, for 6 consecutive weeks.
$150, or $120 if booked within 2 weeks of adopting from the RSPCA or completing the RSPCA Puppy Pre-school.
Class size: 5 puppies.

Pet Dog Manners

Dogs aged 6 months and over

Enhance the bond with your dog and learn good manners in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Help your dog learn basic training including how to sit, stay and walk calmly on a lead. This course is perfect for dogs and owners wanting to continue training.
1 hour per week, for 6 consecutive weeks.
Cost: $180 (including a 30 minute assessment session with a trainer) or $150 for graduates of RSPCA Junior Manners or Post-adoption Training.
    Class size: 5 dogs.

    Canine Tricks and Games

Dogs aged 6 months and over

This class is all about having fun with your dog. Learn how to teach your dog a variety of tricks from basic to advanced. This fun training takes a relaxed approach and is suited to dogs who have mastered learning the basics (ideally through a previous RSPCA course).
Duration: 1 hour per week, for 6 consecutive weeks.
$150 or $120 for graduates that have completed a training course at the RSPCA.
      Class size: 5 dogs.
