What is the Ribbon of Life?

Ribbon of Life is the RSPCA’s donation gift program. When you support the Ribbon of Life, you will be making a donation to the RSPCA on behalf of someone else. Ribbon of Life donation gifts are the perfect way to show a friend or loved one you care, whilst also supporting their passion for animal welfare.

What will I receive with my Ribbon of Life gift card?

When you purchase a Ribbon of Life donation gift, you will receive a beautiful gift card to personalise with your own message. The inside of the card will detail how your gift will make a difference to RSPCA animals, for example: the $27 walk the dog gift card details how your gift will ensure a dog in one of our shelters gets regular exercise for a week. You will also receive a tax-deductible receipt with your purchase and all gifts over $73 receive an RSPCA supporter pin.

How soon will my gift card be sent?

Please allow three working days to process your gift. To ensure your gift arrives on time, we ask you to allow two weeks for processing and postage. Express postage can be arranged for an additional cost (next day delivery to most capital cities).  Please contact us for more information.

Can my gift be forwarded directly to my friend?

Gifts are forwarded to the person purchasing the gift so the card can be personalised with your message. Unfortunately gifts cannot be sent directly to the gift recipient.

Can the receipt be addressed to the recipient?

All tax-deductible receipts for Ribbon of Life donation gifts are addressed to the gift purchaser.

Does my gift really go to the animal or service selected?

Gifts included in the Ribbon of Life donation gift program reflect the needs of animals commonly cared for by the RSPCA. If more gifts are purchased than a particular animal needs, money raised will be used for the care of other animals. Your donation will also contribute to the purchase of particular items or services necessary to care for RSPCA animals.

How is the price calculated for each gift?

Gift values are calculated based on the average cost of caring for actual RSPCA animals.

Can I get a gift for an amount not offered?
