On the search for a new cat to join her family, Maz was visiting RSPCA Peninsula when she locked eyes with Otto and knew he belonged in her life. Otto seemed to get the same vibe, because stepping into his new home for the very first time, he immediately acted like he owned the place and strutted off to explore his new kingdom.
He’s currently plagued with a bit of a school boy crush, having fallen head over heels for Maz’s existing cat Juno. Otto doesn’t even mind she’s three times his age – the idea of being a toyboy is quite a novelty. Juno looks like she’s going to friend-zone the boy, but regardless, a beautiful friendship seems to be on the cards.
Maz reports Otto is super affectionate and sweet, but often seems to think he may be a dog trapped in a cat’s body. He follows his humans from room to room to check out what they’re doing, and has even managed to break his way into all the cupboards in the house just in case there’s some delicious treats hiding from him behind the doors.
Otto is a brilliant fit for the family, and Maz couldn’t be happier that she found him. It’s the happy ending that every animal at RSPCA Victoria deserves, and we’re thrilled Otto will go on to live a life filled with nothing but love.
