When Seema lost her beloved cat last year, she wasn’t sure she’d ever find cat-love again. With a heavy heart she re-entered the world of what she calls ‘internet cat dating’ – searching to find the perfect companion to adopt. But none of the cats she met were quite the right fit… they were lovely, she thought, but just not right for her. She was starting to wonder if she’d feel that same spark again. Then, all of a sudden, along came Neo.
It was cat-love at first sight! Even just from his website profile, Seema could tell there was something about Neo. He was a little older and had been at RSPCA Peninsula for some time. She went to meet him, and it was clear that they were made for each other.
“He picked me. He was so affectionate straight away. Even the adoption staff said it was pretty clear we clicked, and told me to go sleep on it and she would put him on hold… The next day, I went to pick him up.”
Seema says Neo has settled in amazingly, even getting along with her two dogs. He is playful and adventurous even in his older years, and always curls up for a cuddle with Seema at night. Seema couldn’t be happier with this new chapter of her cat-love story.
“I have had such wonderful experiences with adopting and I would never hesitate to adopt an older animal. They are sensible, over their childish antics and teach you so much. I'm so grateful Neo and I found each other.”
