RSPCA Wangaratta
|
RSPCA Wangarratta has provided refuge, care and rehabilitation to animals from the Wangaratta and surrounding areas since 2000. In the past year alone, RSPCA Wangaratta has cared for 1,457 animals. Our tireless work in Wangaratta and our achievements in animal welfare are only made possible with generous support from the local community. Whether you are able to contribute a financial donation, donate blankets, attend our local Million Paws Walk or spare your time as a volunteer - everything helps the animals we care for.
The operations of RSPCA Wangaratta are overseen by our Shelter Supervisor, Jan, and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

Meet Jan (RSPCA Wangaratta Shelter Supervisor)
Jan has been the shelter supervisor at RSPCA Wangaratta for over two years. Jan's typical day involves cleaning for two hours before opening the shelter doors and caring for surrendered, stray and abandoned animals from the Wangaratta and Benalla shires. One of her favourite aspects of the job is receiving positive feedback from the families that have adopted a pet from the shelter. Jan loves hearing that the animals are safe and happy, and have found their "forever homes". As a result of it being one of the smaller shelters in the state, hearing about happy endings is quite common. Jan believes that the shelter is the perfect size and along with the rest of team at RSPCA Wangaratta, is extremely proud of the work they do there. |
